Plan Shymbulak access, gondola tickets, clearly labelled ski-pass reference prices, SnowCrew coaching and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night skiing.
Shymbulak sits above Almaty and is reached through Medeu Base Station. The practical distinction is simple: pedestrian gondola tickets are for sightseeing, while ski passes cover skiing and snowboarding.
> Quick answer: travel to Medeu first, then continue to Shymbulak. Night skiing runs every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The current pedestrian tariffs below were checked on 20 August 2026; the ski-pass table is clearly labelled as 2025/26 reference pricing.
